So the guy that did the conversion to the van. he went a little off the rails and refused to finish the job. When he started the job, he told me he would do the job at no cost as never before had he converted the van from an ambulance to a regular machine. According to fashion design guru LEO. when he got the papers ready, he spat the dummy when i asked for it for free. He said he was so deeply offended by me asking for it for free that he would not finish the job. I don't know who to believe, maybe leo was confused, or maybe the word free has some other meaning that i don't get in Czech. So then i had to get my lawyer to write a letter to the guy. The guy responded to me, giving me all the details I needed to complete the transaction, i was asking for an invoice and his account. To complete it.

conversion of ambulance to regular machine in Czech.

Ambulance – Call czech subdivision of Mercedes and ask where is possible the change, or Ministery of transporation should keep a list of registered companies, which can do it. He (technical guy from register – 236005436/236005424)recommended company Tomcar Maršovice. There you can also find you if the van needs a tachograph.
-          compulsory insurance
-          technical inspection STK (http://www.nejblizsi-stk.cz/praha), they also do registration check (you need the form „Protokol o shodě/ Certificate of Compliance for registration)
-          take with purchase contract wherever you go
-          Registration on Vyšehrad office (236005491)of register if it needs eco fee

 Hi Tom Car,

Excuse this email not being in Czech language, i hope its ok?

Can you help with the conversion of an ambulance to a drivable vehicle? Can you also help with STK?

Story..I've just purchased this Mercedes sprinter Ambulance from 2002, pictures of it attached to this email. I'm told by the man at the ambulance station that the van had a new motor put into it at the start of last year and that it has been recently serviced.  I have a contract that proves I've bought the van, yet the van needs papers to be registered, possibly changed to a recreational vehicle. Provided the machine needs just a basic service, what costs are involved to get this machine driving? I have a class C Australian license.

If you could outline the costs involved in getting all the papers, including the tow from the ambulance centre to you?

Your help would be much appreciated.

regards,

jam
